Lookin for fun and feelin’ groovy..

Life resembles an album. (Millennials, Google it).

Pristine, wanted, enamored, held gingerly, day 1 - fer a long, long time.

Some, used, ill-used, maltreated, abused, harmed, dropped, cracked, bumped, nicked, chipped, spilt on, too much sun got ‘waves’ in it - “Owner’s” fault.

Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feelin' groovy

Others – preserved from non-abuse. Appear as new. Cherished, treasured, pampered, babied. Disgustingly perfect. Taken good care of.

Hello, lamppost, what'cha knowin'?
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't'cha got no rhymes for me?
Doot-in doo-doo, feelin' groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feelin' groovy

Differn’t sizes. 33, 45, 78 (ahem, millennials once again Google.)
Differn’t speeds.

Fancily adorned. Blase’. Colorful. Colorless. Some, fads. Some, passé. Some come back around in popularity. Some, forever a favorite. Some, tucked away in thought, lonely. Some play daily. Some, ne’er again to play.

I got no deeds to do
No promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you
All is groovy.

We like ‘some’ of that album. Other parts, not so much. We find them joyous. We play, sometimes we don’t listen. Sometimes, taken for granted. Sometimes cranked. Sometimes turn’t down. Sometimes interrupted.

Spinnin’. Sinnin’. Grinnin’. In the beginning. Top of the inning. Bottom of the inning.

Some, ya never let loose. Some dropped. Sadly, some bought, traded. Some, simply changed. Some turn over. Some play on same side, over and over and over again.

Ya got me goin’ in circles. Put another quarter in. Life also is like the jukebox – fulla’ albums. Depends on your mood. Your pocketbook. The crowd. Hey, sometimes too it’s ok to be selfish, “I don’t care if no one else likes it.” Then play on.

Looking for fun and feelin' groovy. Love, RCA Victurd.
